The Challenge

Corporate partnerships are a relatively new activity for the Hospice of St Francis (HoSF). In 2016/17 they had grown corporate income to £190K p.a. However, this was achieved by working with a large number of local companies, built on a huge team effort at networking, relationship building and organising events, in particular their growing Corporate Partners Network. This took all the available time of their Head of Corporate Fundraising, Carolyn Addison and her colleague Amanda Stalham. It was proving challenging for Carolyn and Amanda to move to the next stage and develop larger partnerships to help accelerate their income growth.

The Solution

HoSF asked Remarkable Partnerships to work with them and create a bespoke partnerships development programme focused on delivering corporate partnership results.

We started by understanding their key barriers to success and their corporate ambitions and from this we were able to identify their priority areas for development.

We supported HoSF with developing a powerful corporate proposition, identifying their top prospects and building bespoke and impactful partnership ideas. We also worked with Carolyn and Amanda on how to deliver brilliant meetings and create extraordinary pitches.

Key Benefits

Our programme with HoSF completed in January 2018 and the benefits have been huge for them.

Carolyn and the team have a targeted strategic partnership prospect list, a detailed plan of how to secure meetings with those prospects and -the confidence that they can secure partnerships that were previously beyond their expectations.

Their CEO and Director of Fundraising along with their colleagues from across the organisation have been an integral part of the programme and see the potential value that corporate partnerships can bring to the hospice. Their CEO has given her commitment to join Carolyn in their partnership pitches.

And importantly they secured a partnership with their top prospect, Aitchisons a large estate agency group. This is a long-term partnership involving fundraising, cause related marketing and brand awareness.
